COGNITION
A Full Scale Intelligence Quotient is a measure of the General Factor (g) of Human Intelligence or an individual's aptitude. The composite of the individual subtests in an aptitude or intelligence test yields the Full Scale Intelligence Quotient (known colloquially as an 'IQ score').
TYPES OF ASSESSMENTS
Dr. Tarnoff is proficient at many norm-reference standardized assessments of cognitive abilities. He utilizes the most recent editions of all cognitive assessments. Each assessment is able to be interpreted as a stand-alone test of ability, or multiple tests may be used in a Cross-Battery Assessment (XBA).
Dr. Tarnoff also utilizes additional assessments including neuropsychological assessments to supplement findings to cognitive assessments.
Dr. Tarnoff can also administer the new Pearson Q-Interactive, which administers the individual tests with two Apple iPads. Apple iPads are provided within the testing session by Dr. Tarnoff.
